FROM JB:
I've been to Puerto Vallarta several times before. I've walked along the Malecon each time. And every time I visit the beachside path, I learn something new. During this visit, it's a guided walking tour so I get to hear about the area's storied history. I gain insight into what went into the buildings, the sculptures and artwork on display in every direction. I have a new appreciation for the subtle details that I'd never before noticed in passing.

FROM JB:
It's funny to look back at the photos we took from previous visits to the Malecon and see how things have changed. Some of the sculptures look a little more worn, some of the paintings look a little faded, but they are upstaged by new additions to the tourist attraction.
Casually strolling through the pieces is one thing but getting into the mix and actually climbing a sculpture is another. People young and old can be spotted climbing the famous ladder and sitting on a bull. It's great to be able to get up close -- and on top of -- the history of PV.
