Most people don't want to work on their birthday. For me, I had a feeling the team would spoil me. And I was treated to a nice surprise of treats in my hotel suite. Then at lunch I was sung to. Later, I enjoyed a few relaxing hours at the spa.

Even after spending a few days at Sheraton Buganvilias Resort & Convention Center, I'm not sure that I'd dined at every restaurant. It's weird. Just when you think you've tasted it all, you're proven wrong. At my birthday lunch we were treated to a variety of dishes including chicken (my fave) and cocktails made right before our eyes. Yes, one of them even smoked on the spoon it was served in.

After a brief nap, I headed to the spa for a relaxing massage treatment. I later did the hot/cold circuit in the sauna, steam room, hot tub, cold plunge and relaxation pool. Travel tip: Book several hours of your time if you plan to visit this spa.
